Hello,
The release of the most recent "Hunger Games" and
"Thor" movie was the inspiration for the Teen Zone display in
November.

Decorations
Some
decorations that incorporated the "Hunger Games" theme in the Teen Zone
included: a cornucopia with arrows, a reaping bowl, silver parachutes, and of
course the mockingjay spreading its wings.

I was able to find the logos for
the twelve districts of Panem and, the final touch, a cutout of Katniss
Everdeen, which I used to decorate the end of the stacks.

To incorporate "Thor"
themed decorations into the Young Adult Graphic Novel collection I was able to
reuse a raven statue for the Halloween display.
I also made Thor's Hammer using duct tape and construction paper.

A fun touch was creating a READ
poster from the "Asgardian Library Association" with Thor in the
background.

Book Display
The books put on display showcased the variety of dystopian
fiction available for young adults.
